Johannesburg, South Africa – Nkosiikhona “Phakel’umthakathi” Ndabandaba’s strong message calling on young Black men to become disciplined, respectful and honourable is receiving surprising support from many White and Coloured South Africans.
While Ndabandaba mainly directs his message at Black youth, his no-nonsense videos about fatherhood, personal responsibility, respect for elders, and cultural pride have caught the attention of a much wider audience. On his recent reels, numerous White and Coloured South Africans have commented, with many simply writing “He’s speaking facts.”
Several White South Africans have publicly agreed that Ndabandaba is addressing problems they have observed for years — the lack of strong male role models, declining discipline among young men, and the breakdown of family structures. In Coloured communities, where similar social challenges exist, many have also voiced support for his views on raising strong, responsible men.

What stands out is Ndabandaba’s direct and unapologetic style. Instead of making excuses, he challenges young men to step up and carry themselves with dignity — a message that appears to be crossing racial lines.
His growing appeal suggests that many South Africans, regardless of race, are tired of soft approaches and are drawn to straight talk when it comes to fixing the problems facing the country’s young men.
Alleyeson.co.za will continue tracking the cross-racial impact of Ndabandaba’s message.
